  • OUR STORY

For more than 40 years, Ruby Tuesday has been one of America’s favorite brands. Driven by uncompromising freshness and quality, gracious hospitality and a growing number of restaurants, the concept is unbeatable in the casual dining industry. The brand was created with the vision that food and drinks would be fresh and handcrafted. Everything would be made only with high-quality ingredients. Every dish would be served by friendly, passionate people. And the restaurant would be casual, comfortable and the go-to spot for adults, children and families alike.

With that vision, Ruby Tuesday was born. From that first restaurant near the campus of the University of Tennessee in 1972, the brand has since grown to more than 600 restaurants across the United States and around the globe. Ruby Tuesday became part of a large public food-service company in 1982. Then, in 1996, it became its own independent, publicly traded company. Along the way, Ruby Tuesday emerged as one of the most well-known and revered brands in casual dining. In 1997, the brand broke into the international market by opening its first location in Hong Kong. Since then, it’s expanded throughout 15 countries.

Today, Ruby Tuesday continues to be driven by an uncompromising commitment to freshness, quality and gracious hospitality. That dedication has made the brand global force in the casual dining segment.
